Урок совершенствования речевых умений учащихся

по теме: « Открытия» (“Inventions. Pros & Cons”)

Познавательный аспект – знакомство с высокими технологиями

Развивающий аспект – развитие умения учащихся самостоятельно оценивать

себя и других, использовать ИКТ в образовательном процессе.

Воспитательный аспект – формирование уважительного отношения к

мнению другого человека.

Учебный аспект – развитие умения читать с целью извлечения конкретной

информации

Речевой материал : лексика по теме «Открытия», commonplace, invaluable,

junk, reluctance.

Средства - тематический текст, таблицы для контроля чтения, таблица для

контроля понимания, презентации по теме, подготовленные учащимися.

Методы – устный (письменный) самоконтроль, взаимоконтроль,

сравнительный, продуктивный, творческий

Формы – коллективная, групповая, индивидуальная

Good morning students, guests, Glad to see you at our lesson, You are sure to

know wonderful inventions have been made in science and technology recently.

They are changing the lifestyle of millions of people all over the world. Modern

inventions are used in everyday life. Some of them have become so commonplace

that it is difficult to imagine them as inventions. They save a lot of time.

Our theme for today “Modern inventions”

Read the text “Computers in our life” and answer the questions

Computers in our life

Many thousands of people from all over the world use computers, and it is really

true. The PCs have become part and parcel of our everyday life . Of course, like

any invention it has a lot of advantages and a wide range of disadvantages..Some

people think, that computer is a real helper in our life. And there are several

reasons for that. Firstly, computers provide access to the Internet, thus we can get

information, chat with friends and relax. Secondly, PCs don’t get tired and it is

very important because, in some supermarkets persons can’t work and computers

replace them. And finally, with the help of computer we can keep information on

CDs because it is much easier than in the books.

Other people, believe, that PC is the most harmful invention of our century. And

they can give some arguments for it. Firstly, it is very harmful for children because

they play computer games and forget about real life. Secondly, doctors recommend

to work on a computer no longer than 1 hour a day, because it is very harmful for

eyesight. And finally, when people spend a lot of time with computer they may

become very aggressive, lazy and tired.

So there are different points of view about computer. Some people think that it is

greatest invention. Others believe that it is evil of our century, but I think, that

computer is our future.
